The vocals might sound half asleep and the guitar about as frantic as a sloth waking up from a nap, but this is all by design and it works brilliantly. The similarly lazy drums give this track the vibe of natural coolness and all these aspects make for a song that can be listened to over and over without the effect lessening to any particular degree. Basically Jackson Scott sounds like he doesn't get out of bed before lunch, and when he does he just sits in his room pissing about with a guitar and a tape recorder. The truth may be different, but it's the music that counts, and that's just fine.
