Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk
Swedish band EP's Trailer Park have been in existence since 2008 and that makes us feel very much like we've been missing out, because current single 'Cynical Lover' is a quite brilliant indie/pop track that recalls greats like Nick Drake, Big Star and even Van Morrison's 'Astral Weeks' album. We don't have a great deal of info to share with you about them, but as they've been around for a while, maybe you have some info to share with us?
All we can say is that from the opening strums of 'Cynical Lover' which then burst open like a flower with flute, piano, vocals and more, this hits the spot directly on first listen. The cascading piano lines and the lush backing vocals are captivating. We're looking at classic songwriting at its best, and with so many bands out there, when one this good comes into your life it's a cause for celebration. So thank you, EP's Trailer Park. We're going to crack open a bottle of bubbly.
