Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk
After forming in 2010, Los Angeles band Superhumanoids quickly began to blag studio time whenever they could and played as many gigs as they could bag. This led to the release of a couple of EPs (you can check out free track 'Too Young For Love' and past single 'Geri' that we've featured before) and also a couple of great support slots touring with Cold War Kids and Local Natives. Just recently they've completed their own extensive headline tour of North America, so the future is looking very bright.
It's sounding bright to, as new album 'Exhibitionists' is likely to prove upon its release next week. Originally slated for a release earlier in the year, it actually seems more fitting for the middle of summer, as their dreamy sounds are perfect for drifting away in the sun to. Ironically it's a song called 'Bad Weather' that they've chosen as a single, but the sound of the song is pure woozy bliss and its lush production, booming percussion and soft vocals are really rather sublime.
