The music these two make is a hell of a lot of fun. 'Animals' is similarly bleepy sparkle-pop to that by which Passion Pit made their name. They're somewhere in a nomansland between pop and alternative and this suits them fine. The only people who won't like the A-side are miserable gits, and they don't count anyway. 'Chicken' is in that same nomansland and is decent enough but it is distinctly B-side material and pales in comparison to 'Animals'. SXSW is known as much for being a festival of barbecued meat as it is its music, so we hope they don't get too upset by the smoking flesh on display.
