Adam Lempel and the Heartbeats - I am the One Who Loves You

Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk

Our first thought was is this video kind of a creepy stalker type thing or is it actually very sweet? We decided it's very sweet by virtue of the girl being followed seeming perfectly happy at every occasion. This left our main worry being potential water damage to a cello, but that's not really for us to fret over. They've made a very summery and very cheery job of this promo clip for new single 'I am the One Who Loves You', we'll give them that, and it's just what we need at the moment. The track is taken from Adam Lempel and the Heartbeats' new self-titled album which is available now.

The Baltimore group should be one that we're overlooking totally. More nice acoustic songs with a slightly American feel based around a singer-songwriter with a guitar? We've been trying to fight off the deluge of these for months, as we keep mentioning. But, nope, this is just too good a song to skip or slag off. It's very endearing and is a bit like a puppy looking up at you with those big, forlorn eyes. You just can't let something so lovely pass you by. So, begrudgingly, we'll have to label this track a winner and give it a bit of promotion, we wouldn't want it to get upset.
