Mac DeMarco - Dreamin'

So in the second half of 2012 a large proportion of the music world spent their time going a little bit potty over over the debut album by Canadian artist Mac DeMarco (it's called '2' as it was his second release for the Captured Tracks label, the first not being a "proper" album apparently, he's not just being annoyingly obtuse) with it finding its way into a few end of year polls. We were a little more subdued in our coverage whilst admitting that it was a good record and suggesting that the hype was, for once, well-founded. What 2013 will bring we don't know entirely, but we do have a little information to share.

Now that he's become an underground star of sorts, Mac DeMarco will be heading out on a North American tour throughout February and March and has also been playing around in his fancy dress cupboard for a new video to accompany one of the album's slower cuts, 'Dreamin''. We're not entirely sure that frilly cuffs, black lipstick and a white wig is a look that many will be rocking throughout the coming year, but for the purposes of this promo we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. It is a rather nice lo-fi indie-rock number after all.
