Usually when writing an introductory feature on a new band that are getting us a little bit hot under the collar, we'd give a brief, or if they were doing something really wild, an extensive description of their sound. There's not really much need when it comes to Future. If we mention The Jesus & Mary Chain and A Place To Bury Strangers then you'll automatically know what to expect. So that's the sound, and if you're a regular follower of this site then it'll be one you probably like already. It's worth pointing out though, that although Future are derivative and don't try and hide this fact, they're also incredibly good with it.
Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but, fun as they were, The Rutles will never be spoken about seriously. Future write great songs, they just happen to have a passion for distortion and fuzz. Their tunes are sharp and to the point, they're also full of melody. So while you may have heard this all before, it might not be quite the same as this, and it certainly won't all have been to such a high standard. This Parisian duo know exactly what they're doing and exactly how to do it, which is more than many who dip their toes in this type of thing do. So have some faith and check out your new fuzz-rock heroes.
