We can't tell you a great deal about London's Flamingods except that they will be releasing their debut album, 'Sun', on January 21st and the first single from it is called 'Quesso'. But then what other info do you need? One listen to this eclectic, innovative afro-pop/indie/electro/tribal/alternative smash hit should be enough to get you hooked. Then we can hope for more of the same in a couple of weeks!

PAPA - Put Me To Work
With a more conventional but no less exciting sound are LA's PAPA who have a debut album set for (we think) the first half of this year. If you like guitars, US indie bands and potential lo-fi rock anthems then get stuck into their current single 'Put Me To Work' which sounds a bit like a mixture of all the best North American alt-rock bands.

Low - Just Make It Stop
Now that their awesome 'Just Like Christmas' has finally begun to infiltrate the mainstream, it would be great if their other music followed suit. It's unlikely though, they've never been, and never will be, a pop band. New track 'Just make It Stop' is probably about as close to commercial as Low get. It's a wonderful song from their album 'The Invisible Way' which is out in March.
This track is the first we've heard from San Francisco resident Kameronessi, although there are a handful of tunes on his SoundCloud page, none of which are more than a few months old. So unless this is a new incarnation we're looking at a new artist, and one that skillfully mixes big beats, tropical sounds, electronica and alternative rock into a unique musical experiment.

Blind Architect - Lebanon
Ah, yet more musical delights from Finland's excellent Lionheart Records label. With a debut album set for March, the band from the small port city of Kokkola have released this video and free download to new single 'Lebanon'. From this and their previous single we gather that Blind Architect are partial to shoegaze, post-rock and generally towering songs that can be created using guitars. All good by us.
