Thumpers - Unkinder (A Tougher Love)

Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk

One of the great things about music is that it can generate feelings and senses of weather, time of year, even day and night. This forthcoming single for London duo Thumpers (and we got this impression before seeing the press photo above by the way) definitely evokes summer, and specifically summer nights. Before we go all Grease about this, we should say this is a very modern electro-pop track with a definite feelgood factor. Scheduling its official release for June 3rd is a perfect move (weather depending).

It's a tough one to dislike too, and you can find a multitude of uses for it. Want to dance? No problem. Want to chill instead? This should do the trick there too. Also if you're after nothing more than a decent song to listen to or to sing along to then 'Unkinder (A Tougher Love)' should suit your needs on that one as well. By the looks of it, these two fellas have come up with multi-purpose music that's suitable for pretty much any occasion (except maybe a funeral or a heavy metal convention).
