So it's election day in the US, and while as a website The Sound Of Confusion doesn't align itself to any particular party and generally stays neutral on such matters, it seems that, regardless of what party they represent, of the two main candidates one is a sensible, humane, rational man and the other is... not. It's not about parties, it's not even about the rich vs the poor, it's about these two people, and if Romney gets in we'll genuinely be a little bit scared. Us and most of the rest of the world. Taking a more direct political stance is US artist Shilpa Ray who has recently released this video to new track 'Nocturnal Emissions' that addresses some of the more ridiculous claims made during this election campaign (you can't get pregnant from rape etc.) and other from the past.
The song and video both deal with the threat of nuclear war (Romney believes a war is needed to bring about the second coming of Christ - worrying much?) and the frankly repulsive stance that some politicians seem to have on the female body and indeed female rights altogether. There is genuine audio here of man stating that aspirin can be used as contraception, you put it between your knees apparently. Ray cleverly turns the situation around by talking about male masturbation as killing thousands of potential lives. It doesn't bear think about what will happen if we end up with Romney be we must praise people like Shilpa Ray for having the balls (pun intended) to make statements like this and drive the dark side of American politics out of the middle ages. Oh and the tune's great too by the way.
