How can you resist any song that has perhaps the infectious chorus of the year that starts with the proclamation "Delorean"? You can't and that's without hearing the rest of 'Campfire' by Finnish group Satellite Stories. That chorus is a sheer sugar-rush hit melded in a song that has a knowing arch-ness not seen since early Franz Ferdinand mixed with the irresistible indie pop of Two Door Cinema Club.
'Campfire' gently comes into view on vibrant "woos", a plaintive vocal, and a perfectly plucked guitar, then it steps into pure sunkissed, joyous territory; like if Bloc Party had evolved in the land of the midnight sun. It has an utterly pleasing urgency and dancabilty which steps into transcendent euphoria of heady pop bliss in the song's final stages. As it closes that chorus simply stays in your head for days. The buzz around Satellite Stories is more than deserved after this rush.
