ARMS - Earthquake Weather

Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk

As you're an avid reader of every article we post (you are, right?), then you'll either know all about New York's ARMS already or you will have been given a brief history when we featured their track 'Comfort' earlier this week. Well Todd Goldstein's group have another song from their very soon to be released 'EP2' (not their second release, they've been around for years) streaming online so you can decide whether you should go and but it next week. Which you probably should.

This second tune is called 'Earthquake Weather' which is either (if you're a conspiracy theorist) about the climate and earth-controlling powers of military compounds such as the Alaska-based HAARP project, or is just another decent indie-rock track. It's probably the latter given they lyrics, but maybe we just haven't decoded them enough. One thing is for sure, and that's that ARMS are growing in stature and are keen to experiment a bit with their indie-rock sound. The EP should be ace.
