The superhumanly prolific former Hefner frontman is at it again. As part of a compilation album put together by the Where It's At Is Where You Are label, Darren Haymen's track 'Bundle' has been made available for free. It's a sprightly indiepop scorcher with a repetitive chugging riff and lyric consisting of one solitary word. Turns out that's all you need to make a cracking tune.

The Mynabirds - Generals
Omaha's finest garage/soul/rock 'n' roll collective The Mynabirds have just released their second album 'Generals' and are letting us have the title-track as a dangling lure to try and coax us into buying it. If the crunching pop of 'Generals' is anything to go by then we'd best start making our way to our favourite record shop and snapping up a copy pronto.

Poulbo - My Rain Spot
As you know, sometimes it's better not to ask too many questions about artists, so when Poulbo sent us the link to his bandcamp page we just listened to the chilled electronica on offer, decided it was rather good and therefore worth sharing with you. So here's free track 'My Rain Spot' from a recent EP we think is called 'Bonus'. Anyway, it's quite lovely and if you want to know more then follow the links below.

Young Galaxy - Youth Is Wasted On The Young
'Shapeshifting' was a particularly fitting name for the last album by Canadians Young Galaxy, as they flit between shoegaze, electronica, dreampop and indie. They've just released a brand new 7" single on Paper Bag Records. The A-side is 'Shoreless Kid' and on the flip is the excellent 80s guitar-pop of 'Youth Is Wasted On The Young' which is yours for free.
