New Zealand's Shacklock Meth Party is the work of producer and instrumentalist Rhett Copland who's been making music under various guises for several years. The 'Ill Gates' EP is the first under his current moniker and is set to be followed by a debut album later this year. 'Sense 12' is menacing, psychedelic drone rock that recalls the likes of Spacemen 3.

Slowdance - Boyfriend
'Boyfriend' is the latest and probably best track from indiepop stars-in-waiting Slowdance. The Brooklyn quintet have already shown us they can navigate their way around a tune and this new track is the icing on the cake of their output so far. If any labels are reading this, Slowdance are still unsigned, and really you should be doing something to change that as soon as possible.

Jake Hart - What We Are Now
South Londoner Jake Hart writes, records and produces everything himself, and as one man bands go he's doing a sterling job. New track and free download 'What We Are Now' is hectic and jumpy indie that sounds like Bombay Bicycle Club getting it on with Friendly Fires. If that all sounds a bit 2010 then don't worry because this track sounds both vibrant and fresh.

Father You See Queen - We Give And Give and Give and You Take and Take and Take and Take
Taking us to a more relaxed and dreamy plane are Minneapolis band Father You See Queen whose glacial dreampop will float over you in the soothing manner of The Cocteau Twins or Mazzy Star. Free track 'We Give and Give and Give and You Take and Take and Take and Take' has an unnecessarily long name but is a thing of beauty so we'll forgive them.
