Excellent former Foundees The Shutes have a new EP, 'Echo Of Love' out this week and the whole thing is great, but if you want convincing you can try before you buy by downloading free track 'She Said'. It finds the Isle Of Wight band on top form, sounding like The Delays covering The Byrds with this slightly psychedelic piece of hazey melodic loveliness.

Zammuto - F U C-3PO
Also out this week is the new album from Nick Zammuto, formerly one half of New York experimental duo The Books. His new project is also suitably experimental, with this free tune, 'F U C-3PO' blending folktronica with robotic vocals and a menacing psych edge. Other tracks on his self-titled debut are nearer in sound to his previous work but pushing his boundaries is what suits him best.

Amanda Mair - Sense
At just seventeen years old, Swedish singer Amanda Mair shows unbelievable promise and is already beginning to realise her potential. Her debut album will be released this summer through superb Swedish imprint Labrador, and if you've missed her two singles so far you can catch up by downloading her third, 'Sense', right here. It's a pure pop delight.

Mike Wexler - Pariah
Adding some spooky atmospherics to proceedings is Brooklyn singer-songwriter Mike Wexler who has just released his new album 'Dispossession'. 'Pariah' begins in a murky haze with Wexler's soft vocals quivering out from beneath. The atmosphere builds with brass and organ over its six-and-a-half minute duration without ever giving much away; it's slightly aloof and all the better for it.

Joywave - Who Do You Like?
American indiepop (with the emphasis on the 'pop') band Joywave have just put out their new EP 'Koda Vista' and like the generous people they are, they're giving us the sparkling, joyous synth-pop track 'Who Do You Like?' for free. There's a definite nod to the 80s with the retro drum machine but the lush twinkling layers make it that bit more fun than many of their fellow electro throwbacks.
