With indie-rock songs in the style of 'High Expectations' or 'Bed Of Roses', Florida's Lesley Ryland will undoubtedly draw comparisons to bands like Metric and Rilo Kiley, as well as early PJ Harvey, but there are far worse people to be placed into the same bracket as. In truth, listening through Ryland's songs you find a wider diversity than that, and also a commercial edge peeking up from just below the surface that suggests she may well become a star in her own right.
